Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

To use Rentra, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Maldivian Driving License appropriate for the category of vehicle you intend to rent (e.g., A0/A1 for motorcycles, B1 for cars).

2. Rental Agreements

Rentra provides a platform for owners and renters to connect. The actual rental agreement is between the Owner and the Renter. Rentra is not a party to the rental transaction but facilitates identity verification and booking management.

3. Insurance Requirements

Mandatory Requirement: All vehicles listed on Rentra MUST have valid Motor Third Party Takaful as required by Maldivian law. Owners are responsible for maintaining this coverage.

Renters are responsible for any damages not covered by the owner's insurance and for all traffic violations incurred during the rental period.

4. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Renters pay Owners directly via bank transfer (BML/MIB).
  • Owners must subscribe to a plan (Starter/Pro) to list vehicles or approve more than 15 bookings per month.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable once the service period has started.

5. Prohibited Uses

Vehicles rented through Rentra may not be used for illegal acts, sub-leasing, or racing.
